I Am Still Waiting

I had been waiting for the new 'Rivers of London' novel by Ben Aaronovich for a few weeks now. It was supposed to have come out last week. Just as I was getting ready to order it, I found out that it had been delayed, to April of next year! I usually double check on when my favorite authors have new books, but this one had slipped by me. Normally, titles don't get delayed so close to their original publishing date, but this time it did. Not only that, but many of my favorite authors don't have anything scheduled for the next few months either. R. S. Belcher, Jim Butcher, George R. R. Martin, and especially Jasper FForde. None of them have anything, as of this morning, have anything scheduled (at least not a full novel of the series I follow) that the distributors have posted. This includes the next 'Tarot Mystery' by Steve Hockensmith with Lisa Falco from Midnight Ink, an imprint of Llewellyn. It just really gets to me that I have to wait so long. At least I can get an update as soon as it is posted to the distributors.
